We want you to get the care you deserve.
Why Healing Systems?
Healing is rarely experienced in isolation. We reflect with others who can ask us hard questions, and grow with the support of people that care. In a world of increasing isolation, people need supportive systems more than ever. Olibrice Healing acknowledges and hopes to provide that.
What We Believe About Healing
Healing is relational. Empathetic care and thoughtful connection are a balm for our hurts.
Healing is contextual. You can’t remove someone (or their healing process) from their history or their surroundings.
Intentional healing helps. At Olibrice Healing Systems, we believe that by starting therapy, improving our relationships, and creating supportive spaces, we help healing feel a little easier.
Who is Behind Olibrice Healing Systems?
I am Shammar Olibrice, a couples and family therapist, researcher, and founder of Olibrice Healing Systems. I created Olibrice Healing Systems from the belief and simple acknowledgement that people need people. The relationships we hold and the environments we inhabit influence the ways we experience ourselves and the world around us. As a therapist, I focus on exploring the stories and relationships that shape each client while honoring the strengths and resources they bring with them.
I am a first-generation Haitian-American woman living in South Florida. I love integrating culture, creativity, and connection into my work through design, color, and nature. I find inspiration in everyday objects and clinical themes like freedom, joy, grief, conflict, and peace, and I am fascinated by the ways our environments tell stories through the meanings we attach to them.
My current research explores the relationship between therapists, interior-sensory experiences, and the clinical process. Through Interior-Sensory Consulting, I explore how intentional environments can support therapists, clients, and the therapeutic relationship.
Outside of therapy and research, I enjoy painting, road trips, puzzles, cheesecake-flavored ice cream, and exploring new places. I am also a proud cat mom to Pepper and Sage, and if (read: when) I get a third cat, I will name them after another spice!
